Can you flatten tummy with exercise?
My partner is like, an addict for the body buidling forums, and he basically knows everything! The other day I started doing exercises to try and flatten my tummy (I'm really little everywhere except my tummy, my tummy is so big I even look pregnant sometimes, lol).
And he said that it's impossible to lose weight in just one place by exercising it. He said that all that will happen is that I will gain muscle there.
Now I feel so discouraged and I'm not exercising at all…
Just to add a little more detail, I am healthy and normal and have never been more than 7 kilos overweight, I have no flabby bits or anything, just a belly that folds into big rolls whenever I sit down. And really skinny, long, legs and arms.
Is there any hope to flatten my tummy?
I was going to do some sit ups, and this other thing where you lay down on your back, bend at the knees a bit, and lift your legs up, to target my lower tummy.
But is what my partner said true? Will it really not work?
